Yoga is the fundamental aspect of movement and all the other forms of movement branch out from this.

Yoga is a five thousand years old form of physical & a mental exercise that originated in India. Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word which means union. The definition of the union of body, mind & soul refers to discipline. Its compiled of exercises related to body & breath, poses and meditation.

Yoga poses look easy & effortless, but are in fact designed to challenge the body’s limits. Each pose has a physical benefit that is specific and targeted to a certain body part and its function. Since yoga is performed slowly with a strong emphasis on correct breathing patterns, there is a strong mental and spiritual element to the exercise. Yoga is the right way to increase self-confidence and have a great positive image.

The different types of Yoga:

Ashtanga Yoga:

Ananda Yoga:

This puts focus on gentle postures designed to move the energy up to the brain and prepare the body for meditation.
