Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word which means union. The definition of the union of body, mind & soul refers to discipline. Its compiled of exercises related to body & breath, poses and meditation.
Yoga poses look easy & effortless, but are in fact designed to challenge the body’s limits. Each pose has a physical benefit that is specific and targeted to a certain body part and its function. Since yoga is performed slowly with a strong emphasis on correct breathing patterns, there is a strong mental and spiritual element to the exercise. Yoga is the right way to increase self-confidence and have a great positive image.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1267″ img_size=”large” alignment=”right”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]There are different forms of yoga including:

Hatha Yoga: The fundamental foundation of all Yoga. It incorporates Asanas (postures), Pranayama (regulated breathing), Dhyana (meditation) & Kundalini (awakening of energy at the base) into a complete system that can be used to achieve enlightenment and self-realization.

Ashtanga Yoga: This style of yoga is physically demanding as it values synchronizing breathing with a progressive continuous series of postures.

Ananda Yoga: This puts focus on gentle postures designed to move the energy up to the brain and prepare the body for meditation.

Iyengar Yoga: It promotes strength, flexibility, endurance and balance through coordinated breathing & poses.

Vinayasa Yoga: Focuses on coordination of breath and movement (a very physically active form of Yoga).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1273″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”About Radhika” google_fonts=”font_family:Roboto%3A100%2C100italic%2C300%2C300italic%2Cregular%2Citalic%2C500%2C500italic%2C700%2C700italic%2C900%2C900italic|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Radhika Rao has 15 years of experience as a Yoga teacher and is certified under the Aarsha Yoga Vidya Peetham (registered with the Yoga Alliance). Shirshasana – All time favourite as it stimulates the main glands which are directly related to the blood circulation energizing and preparing the body for other Asanas. All spine twists & back bends (most beautiful stretches) as they help in spinal flexibility, open chest & shoulders, activates abdominal organs and stimulates digestion & metabolism.
